Why is it in movies that anytime an american visits London they play "London Calling"
like that's the offical song for Americans visiting London.

i admittedly don't see a lot of movies but i don't think i've heard london calling in 15 years...

The episode of "Friends" where they all go to London for Ross's wedding.
When Amanda Byrne visits London for the first time in "What a Girl Wants"
It was also used in "Get Him to the Greek" and a bunch of other movies

my guess would be that the remaining members have an excellent agent to get the songs out there in the media. I, for one, say all the royalties and $ they can get- good for them and maybe for the family of Joe Strummer...
