4. I can't figure out why he isn't running the ball
Edited on Mon Dec-06-10 07:52 PM by JonLP24
I guess O-line problems and injuries to the running back position. However he was able to plug in anybody and they would rush for 1,000 yards. Hell he nearly had two 1,000 yard backs with Mike Anderson and Tatum Bell in a single season. I'm starting think it was Kubiak (former Broncos O coordinator) that like to run the ball and deploy zone blocking schemes. Notice this is what he is doing at Houston.

You can't win if you don't run the ball (though teams like the Colts can get away with it) and Washington is only above Arizona in rushing attempts (last I checked). Completely unlike Shannahan if you ask me. Though I guess it is O-line problems.

6. o-line was a mess last couple years, so they went and signed washed up FA's like
larry johnson, willie parker and joey galloway. all of whom are no longer with the team. total wastes of time and energy.

not sure his son is qualified to be the OC.

i also have very little confidence in bruce allen as GM

13. Denver is just one head coach and a starting QB and about 30 players away from a Super Bowl.
Shanahan is light years away. Dude's certifiably insane now. If you gave him Tom Brady and Ray Lewis, he'd bench them so they wouldn't get more attention than him.

5. was dancing in the kitchen when I heard the news
About friggin' time.

He should have been fired the minute after he wasted trading away picks to get Tim Tebow who nobody would pick at least until the 7th round.

7. not surprised, given the recent video scandal
It seemed pretty likely at that point that he was done.

Can't say it's been much fun, McDaniels. :kick:

8. Now if Todd Haley and Rex Ryan could just manage to get fired
We'd be rid of the trinity of the whiniest, prick coaches in the entire NFL.

Those are my two favorite coaches. Not so much as their personalities but the strategies they use. Love teams that like to run the ball a lot.

10. They are both doing a very good job.
I still find them insufferably annoying, particularly Haley.

He's constantly whining. Dude, you're winning. A lot. Shut the fuck up already.

11. I know how Haley can be
Edited on Mon Dec-06-10 08:19 PM by JonLP24
He was O-coordinator here in Arizona during their Super Bowl run. He was tough on his players, particularly the receivers.

Most people don't know why he released (or traded-can't remember) Tony Gonzales when he showed up in KC. It is because Gonzales had his own designated parking space at the team facilities and Haley told the team no one gets designated parking spaces. Gonzales protested so he released or traded him. Let me tell you that did not go over well with the local fan base.

14. Yeah, I can't stand Haley, either, but I've had to change my opinion about him.
I didn't think he could coach. Apparently he can. How well and for how long remains to be seen, but as of now, he's at least not sucking, and that's a lot more than I thought he'd ever achieve.
