Terrible cold; wonderful hot toddy!
Man, a hot cup o' tea, a big dollop of honey, a honking squeeze of lemon and a slug of Scotch and I feel muuuuuch better.

1. My favorite cold remedy is hot cider with a shot or two of rum...
.
.
.
...but for just a cold-weather drink, more than tea or hot chocolate or
near-scalded honey-milk (honigmilch in Germany -- DEE-licious) is gluhwein --
hot spiced wine -- that even street vendors sold during the Christkindermarkt
bazaar outside the cathedral during the Christmas season in Nurnberg.
.
Yummy (hic). MERRY CHRISHMUSH, YOU OL' BUILDING & LOAN!!!
.
.
.
MiddleFingerMomSis told me the difference between Christmas in Michigan
and Christmas in California is that in Michigan, when you go looking for
your Christmas tree, you take a thermos of spiked hot chocolate or warm
brandy... and in California, you take a thermos of chilled white wine.
.
.
