2. It was apparently my Targus USB keypad
I ended up popping off the 4..and of course cannot now put it back in..:) but at least it's not randomly 4-ing everything in sight:) thanks:)

Hold your keyboard upside-down and smack it on the desk/table/whatever. To prevent this in the future, use a plate or napkin to catch the crumbs.
