Poll question: Graduate is kicking my ass: i leave the house about twice a week

Spend the rest of the time with my nose in journal articles
haven't seen my friends/family in a while
havent worked out in FOREVER
i am making less than 1/3rd of what i used to earlier this year


yet, I LOVE IT

1. I have a lot of issues with academia and some of the people in it,

but whenever I see or hear of students getting through it I am TOTALLY awed and impressed. You are one of them. You are doing fine, and even though I have nothing whatsoever to do with it, I am proud of you. Is that weird?

But doing the grad school thing is a maladjustment all its own; it is not evidence of masochism per se.

The only thing I loved more was when I was done with it and was "free at last"!!
