NorCal Natives: Anyone here remember Ernie the Butcher?
It was a butcher shop out in the Burbank quarter of San Jose. You could buy most grades of beef there (Prime, Choice, Select and other) as well as any other meat. If you asked him for something specific and he didn't have it, he would by the end of the day.

He also had a BBQ corner, where they had some awesome meats freshly cooked.

Am I the only person who remembers this???

1. We had an Ernie's meat market
up here in the Napa Valley. Probably not the same Ernie, but he had good stuff. I miss that place.

He not only took pride in his businesses, but truly relished the friends he made during his time in business.
