Is anybody watching "Celebrity Rehab?"
I can't believe Jeremy London is still telling that BS story about the bad guys kidnapping him while he was on probation and "forcing him at gunpoint to do drugs."

Oh. Come. ON.

I wonder whatever happened to that poor guy he did the drugs with cuz I remember he was arrested for kidnapping and etc. etc. Bet HE didn't get the opportunity to go on Celeb Rehab! Prob is in jail with key thrown away.

1. Yeah, I've been watching
the show with my SO. I have never heard of London's story til this show started, but it does seem pretty unbelievable to me...

2. What really clinches it is when Eric Roberts asked
"Why would your mother and brother think you were lying about this?" He said something about because, they're mean/bad or something....

The story was all over the local (So CA) news when it happened and the mom & brother were very sincerely wanting him to go back into rehab and not kill himself and they said he is prone to making up outrageous lies when using.

I just can't believe he's still telling that yarn! I mean don't most drug addicts want people to NOT use their drugs??

The arrested guy's story goes like this: He helped him change a flat tire. They had a friendly chat in which JL asked where he could get some drugs. The wife got mad so he dropped her off, went off with these guys for awhile, got dropped off at his house.

He and his wife then had a very loud, nasty argument and the police were called by neighbors.

JL was on probation for drug charges and using was breaking probation. So he tells the cops this story. AND HE'S STILL TELLING IT!

I felt like Leif Garrett was like, LOL when he was hearing that story!

3. Saw some of those on the weekend re-runs. Bizarre.
Had sampled the show when it first started, then drifted away. I thought this was supposed to be a FIX or if not permanent that they would either "graduate" or just go away. But that (model?) is still on this show? The one who was in other "reality" circuses that were like game show things? Janice (DICKERSON?)?!1

I was surprised at first that Eric ROBERTS was on it, thinking he was too big a star for this. Not that I had followed his status.

But that kid who verbally harassed Janice was relentless. She's a piece of work and participates in the abuse mutually, but nobody deserves that.

4. Yeah he's really, really a mean spoiled rich brat
I dunno has JD done this before? Is she like, the Kirstie Alley of rehab??

This guy Jason Davis, his "star" status is basically, he inherited a fortune. Isn't that admirable? Unlike the "Richie Rich" comic book of my youth, in my experience, more often than not people who have been stinking rich from the cradle are insecure assholes.

I have to say that Leif Garrett in spite of being a total human train wreck comes across as a pretty likable guy.

RE: Janice if she had the brains to not react so explosively he would find somebody else to pick on or STFU but she is not known for her brains.

5. Dunno if she was specifically on CelebRehab, but for sure on other realities
One where they played elimination games, but she had the same kind of conflicts and there were many references over there to her drug and daughter problems. Just appearing on those shows is a cry for help. Do they really believe that their failing careers are going to be helped with this? Or is their exhibitionism/extroversion another form of addiction/craving?

6. A slightly guilty yes.
There's SO much more than addiction at work here. I feel profoundly sorry for some of these people, in particular for the trap they're in; their personalities and lives are such that, other than being on display, they have nothing to do or live on. Some appear to have significant brain damage, personality disorders run wild (and they are deep-seated, damn near impossible to get beyond) and the drugs have been the focus, the partner, the reason for living, the shieled from a really awful reality (not just the past but what their lives have become) and giving them up and trying to live an "ordinary" life is all but impossible.

If Jeremy London could cop to that drug thing it would go a long way toward helping, and he might have a chance.

The little rich kid would benefit, imho, from having to do some very hard, meaningful work that made a difference in the world. Seems to me he's ragefully trying to have an effect on certain people because he doesn't think he has any effect at all. He's mean like a kid who's never been effective for good or ill is mean, and it's going to get him bigtime someday.

And Janice Dickenson makes me just want to run screaming.

when I turn on that DVR but I find it....what's the word? ADDICTIVE! I also find it a good lesson for my teenage girls...when you're young everything just seems FUN!
