2. Loved the action...
in the original Die Hard. The fact they centered the story around a Christmas party just added to it.

33. And the second Die Hard is REALLY fucking lame
First problem: if you were in an area with an Air Force Base in it like they have at Dulles and someone decided to take over your airport, wouldn't YOU call the Air Force and see if they could land your planes there?

24. That would be my choice too.

My runners-up would be...

...The Ref...

...and The Man Who Came to Dinner.

11. I have "Badder Santa" which I assume is "Bad Santa", only more so.
Any idea what the actual difference(s) between the two is / are?

12. probably more language/sex than in theaters, like when BillyBob "fornicates with a heavyset gal"
in the dressing room! John Ritter was an inspired choice in his role. Bernie Mac is great too.

Just watched it again last week. I did see "Bad Santa" way back when, but I don't remember what the differences might be.

18. God I love that movie.
Somehow it manages to "rise above" iykwim, though I confess the car scene with the girl is what tends to stick in my mind. Must be my unconscious talking.

26. The Silent Partner (possible spoilers)
A thief dressed as Santa Claus (Christopher Plummer) attempts to rob a bank but is outwitted by bank teller (Eliott Gould). A very good, albeit dated, thriller from 1978.
