1. The kind that grow up into a cat that you like just as much as
the kitteh that you adopted. I somehow managed to do that.

A few ounces of fuzz turned into a 25 lb (altered) Maine Coon tomcat.

He needed a home, and I had a home to give.

Personality plus and very, actually too, bright. Glad I took him in.

2. I had an orange one that could clear the top of the fridge from the floor in one jump.
I'm not shitting you. My wife, kids, and many other people witnessed this. He was large and had long strong legs and would just crouch down, launch, grab the freezer door top with his front paws and launch himself onto the top. I've never seen another cat do that. The late, great, Garfeeld passed away at the age of 16 in NH in the late 90's. He rests next to his almost life-long buddy Odi (a cockapeagle) under his half of a split granite stone.

3. My first kittie was an itty bitty runt of the litter, a Maine Coon
that grew up to be HUGE! I named him Pixie because he was so small at first. I never realized that he would grow up to be 30 lbs!

He was the friendliest, sweetest, most lovable cat you ever met. He made friends with everyone, and could charm an entire room as easily as any one person.

And Beautiful! I was frequently told that he should be model because he was as handsome and regal as any cat you see in calendars and magazines. Being regal is a hard trick for a cat to manage while climbing into your lap to insist that you will provide immediate affection, right now, but Pixie had it down to a perfect art.

I don't have any digital pictures of Pixie unfortunately. My digital pictures of only of my more recent animals. I love them all, and one of my current cats even comes close to having Pixie's personality and charm. But none of them has ever been quite like Pixie.

8. Best cats are the affectionate ones.
Not just affectionate with me, they are affectionate with everyone.

And Lucky and Charlotte love getting attention from anyone who comes here.
Even my Dad, who hated cats, fell in love with Charlotte. :loveya:

14. Kitties who need me....
I volunteer at a rescue.... I call myself a failed foster because I kept keeping them until I couldn't keep anymore. I have gone from a high of 13 down to my current 7.

Every time I tell a story about one, I call him/her my favorite. They are all my favorite when I am talking about them. But mostly, the one who needs me most is my favorite... when one is sick or hurt, or the shy one gets pounced on and retreats to hide... they are all my favorite at some time....

And I have among the 7 an orange, a buff, three black and whites, one tux, two long-haireds, two stripey-swirlies, a hyper-spaz, a super smooth, one who needs constant cuddling, and a big fat roly poly! I also have a mean SOB, and I love him too :-)

19. I like 'em all.
Never met one I didn't like.

My girl is a crazy tear-shit-up spaz, and she's also kind of fat and squishy, and she's got a lot of patches and stripes and spots, which are ginger-on-black (tortie) and she likes to snuggle up and "make biscuits" on the blanket at night.

20. Mostly the cats that find me
But when I have a choice, I go for the Siamese mix kitties, often tabby point, sometimes even odder marked ones. I like that Siamese personality and cats that talk back to me.

Most of my cats have found me - showed up at the farm, found by others and given to me, found on the side of the road. Even when I went to the shelter to adopt a cat, the one I picked was found by her owner before the waiting period was over and the volunteer who called to tell me had already picked out a replacement for me - he's the one I have now.
