I Can't Stand Tru TV
It's driving me nuts.

Do they honestly believe that we think this stuff is for real???

This is actually more dangerous than it may appear on the surface.

The mixing of reality with entertainment (scripted entertainment) blurs the line.

2. You mean what used to be Court TV? Or do you mean the criminal forensic shows?
Tru TV is the new name of what used to be Court TV. It's not entertainment; it's really a camera in a real courtroom. During the day. I don't know what's on it at night.

Then there are criminal shows on other stations...forensic evidence crime shows. 48 Hours, Forensic Evidence, I Almost Got Away With It, etc.

I work during the day so don't see the Court shows. I love the crime shows, though. They are documentaries showing the solving of real crime cases.

3. History Channel has some interesting shows.

They had a comment on Paul and doctrines of celebicy again. Posted this before, it is pretty obvious. I liked the story of the lioness defending that lady in the arena.

I have posted this before, but it is my belief that he was not preaching for women to be celibate, he was preaching against marriages without love. Bought concubines or wives, arranged marriages without love, and women not having rights to also choose who they marry.

The teachings that led to problems in both cases sited on the History channel were about a person of social status having a women refuse to marry him. That is not talking about celibacy, but the dignity and rights of everyone including women, not to be considered property by someone else.

4. Um, there's this thing called a remote? You should try it sometime.
How could the stuff (I love the schadenfreude based shows) they show there be "more dangerous than it may appear"?

shows like "Operation Repo" and "All Worked Up." These are all staged....I'm convinced.

Oh yeah...and "Southern Fried Stings."

7. They're not even staged; they're "reenactments based on experiences"
