What fresh way is this to suck money out of people?
I just saw the commercial with the woman complaining that her high efficiency washer stinks and makes her clothes stink. Apparently they now have a product you can BUY to keep this from happening. Apparently this is a common problem with high efficiency machines.

I'm sorry, but should people really have to BUY this product? Shouldn't we be able to expect that a WASHING MACHINE won't make our clothes smell putrid? And if they are too fucking stupid to figure out how to PREVENT the stinkification from happening, shouldn't they give us the damned anti-smell product for FREE?

Everything offends me these days. It seems like every fucking time we turn around there is some new, inexcusable reason to suck money out of our pockets.

2. I have an HE washer and it doesn't stink
When it's not in use, I leave the door ajar. That's all you have to do.

3. Exactly. Just leave it open and it dries out quite nicely. I've never had an issue with stinky
clothes. Vinegar could help, too.

4. Same here. Those people don't read their manuals. It says in the manual...
or somewhere I read it...that you're supposed to leave them open occasionally for the moisture to evaporate and so it goesn't get moldy in there (no, not that black mold).

I haven't had the need to use anything. Leaving a crack in the door works. But it's nice to know that vinegar would help. Thanks for the tip. You just run a little vinegar through a wash cycle, with no clothes?

5. I saw that, too, and could not believe it!...
The laundry market is insane! They are always coming up with some new gadget or idea to get people to buy something. I predict this product will be gone soon.

6. I always take the body out of the washing machine after the police are done searching the house
and then run the machine once through a cycle empty with a few scoops of good scented detergent: badda bing presto! it's good as new

8. Amen. I find that I am offended by too many things these day myself.
What have I learned from this? Don't buy a high efficiency washer.
