A very pretty solar wind-up flashlight with weather radio and cell phone charger!

1. Very cool
I use my wind-up flashlight all the time. Why buy batteries anymore? Yours looks like a good one too.

2. Exactly. Batteries, shmatteries. I figure with this storm I may get a chance to try it out. I have
a solar wind-up lantern, but really it's not good for trying to walk around the house as it blinds me to where I am walking. LOL I decided I needed the flashlight version as well.

3. That's a handy and nicely designed device!
How's the heater doing? When you said it lit with a BOOM I was concerned. I hope you guys aren't getting too cold with a big snowstorm headed your way.

4. Well, we've had mixed success with it. Sometimes we turn it on and it runs fine. Then we go
and turn it on again later and it does that weird thing again.

We're going to get some kerosene this week and see if it's just a low fuel issue. If that doesn't rule it out, we'll have our furnace guy come in and look it over. We won't get too cold, though, at least in the living room. At worst we have a nice electric space heater that looks like a little baseboard unit that does an ok job. And if the power goes out we have a little indoor propane heater that does an even better job. :hi:

7. You should look into getting one, or something similar. Can never have too many
flashlights, right? LOL

8. Hubby said he was torn between that one and the one he got me, but since I'd asked for a little
flashlight he went with the smaller one. Might get a bigger one sometime down the road, though.

11. Actually, it is a wee bit bulky for my hand but it has a wrist strap so I
won't drop it. :D

I have an older somewhat similar model, but it won't charge a cell phone. I've got lots and lots of flashlights. So I need to get one like yours!
