I need a new job in the new year. While I am no longer unemployed (I was out of work from late 2008 till late 2009), I have been working for more than a year for a much lower salary than I am used to at a place that offers no realistic chance for advancement.

I just applied for a position would be perfect for and would really like. It'd get me back into the news business, which would be cool. And, if I got the new gig, the job I have now could then go to somebody who would really appreciate it. It'd be a really good position for somebody else.
