Fans of Italian soccer/football from the mid-1990s: HELP (identify this Gabriel Batistuta shirt)!
So I've got this soccer shirt (no doubt the kind you can buy in a store). Best I can figure out from the internets, it's a Gabriel Batistuta shirt, possibly from the mid-90s based on the sponsor on the front (Sammontana). Below are some pictures. Could somebody out there narrow down the time frame of this shirt? And maybe tell me what it's worth, if anything? Thanks!

2. Maybe I can help
He played with Fiorentina (that's the team with the purple jersey and the fleur de lys which is Florence's symbol) between 1991 and 2000. He then went to play for Roma.

Sammontana, the sponsor (an ice cream company), was Fiorentina's sponsor between the 1994-1995 and 1996-1997 seasons, so you're looking at a two-year range for this jersey.

I hope this helps (with thanks to the Italian wikipedia).

4. Batistuta is from Argentina.
where he was a superstar. Was nicknamed "Batigol" for his scoring prowess. Many Argentines consider him that country's best player ever, even more than Maradona.

It looks like the team jersey is from the years (1991-2000) he played for Fiorentina in the Italian Serie A.

Have no clue as to what the jersey is worth, but fans in Argentina and Italy would probably pay generously for it. Note that he is on the FIFA list of "Greatest Living Footballers," so that adds huge value.

When he played for Roma (after Fiorentina).

Batigol moved to Austrialia with his family after retiring,

5. Looks like a Fiorentina jersey.
The only drawback that I can see is that it does not appear to be an "official" jersey. Fiorentina's official game jerseys in that time were made either by FILA or Lotto. I don't see tags for either of those brands on the jersey. Also, the logo on the left chest does not appear to be the official team logo of Fiorentina.

At a lot of stadiums in Europe, there are stands set up that sell knockoff replica jerseys like the one shown here.
