Michael Vick among five Eagles selected to Pro Bowl

PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was rewarded for his amazing comeback this season by getting selected for the Pro Bowl o-- Tuesday.

Vick, who began the season as a backup, was among five Eagles who were named to the NFC roster. He was joined by place-kicker David Akers, wide receiver DeSean Jackson, tackle Jason Peters and cornerback Asante Samuel .

The Pro Bowl is scheduled to be held in Honolulu on Jan. 30. Whether the Eagles’ players make the trip will depend on how the team fares in the upcoming playoffs. Should the Eagles make the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2004 season, Vick and company would be playing in Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Feb. 6 in hopes of giving the giving the team its first NFL championship since 1960. Super Bowl participants do not play in the Pro Bowl.
