2010 can officially SUCK IT!!

2010 has been the absolute worst year of my life. It started out losing my beloved Zodiak on Jan 5th and the loss just keeps coming. One of my very dear friends, who was more like an adoptive father, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer today. I really thought that he was going to go last year at this time, but he held out a year, and he suffered miserably in that year. I lost an uncle due to complications from AIDS, and Zodiak's grandmother passed away this year. I feel like I am surrounded by death sometimes.

I'm sure that most had a better year than I did, and I am so happy for you. I truly am.

But as far as I'm concerned, 2010 CAN SUCK IT!!!!

Here's hoping that 2011 will be better for all of us. And I'm going to take some proactive steps, myself, to try to make that happen (i.e., try to handle stress better, get a better hold on my financial situation, spend more time on DU, etc.)

Over the past 12 months:

I lost an old college friend in a house fire, didn't get a job I really wanted and needed for my sanity, lost 2 uncles and my father (2 of whom out of the blue), spent 3 months living on credit cards because my husband's student loans were late, and saw my job description change such that the tasks I really enjoyed are now a lower priority than the new things I'm responsible for.
