-Speaking of odd visuals, in the late 70's our family had a neighbor who was trying to make skipping the next-new thing. Even published a book on it and attained some local notoriety.

The guy was probably 6'2+ , wore those tight shorts and had a long beard. Now that I think of it, he looked very similar to Osama Bin Laden (except for the clothes of course). Every morning and evening we'd seem him skip by. A very odd sight indeed. What made it even more strange was that he seemed perfectly sane in every other way as far as I could tell. Was a HS teacher married to a Pediatrician.

Oh well. I guess it takes all types to make the world go round... and at least the guy exercised regularly which is more than I can say for myself :-)
