DID YOU KNOW?

Most people don't know that back in 1912 Hellman's mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after New York City.

Unfortunately, as we all know, the Titanic sank and all its cargo was lost, including the 12,000 jars of mayonnaise destined for Mexican consumers. It took a while for word to reach the Mexican people, but when it did, they were devastated. So much so that the government declared an official day of mourning for the loss of the beloved condiments.

Believe it or not, this holiday is still celebrated 99 years later. It is, of course, known as...

3. I just read today that OBL's father died in a plane crash when an American pilot

overshot the runaway and his eldest brother died in a plane crash when the plane crashed into hydro wires in San Antonio Texas. Perhaps others have heard this story but it is news to me. Found on Wikipedia.
