1. Blue
Just kidding. I'm going silver (beard as well) and really don't give a shit - not going to pull a bin Laden.

4. No, mine is pure silver (at least so far). But I HAVE seen natural blue hair!
There was a guy in high school who used to joke about his Italian grandmother with blue hair.

3. Thats the leveling paradox.
Edited on Tue May-24-11 12:18 PM by RandomThoughts
And the mistake Bin Laden made. The only way you can get some people to do what they should be doing, is to destroy them, or get them to fear being destroyed.

However fear is a bad motivator, and even if you destroy them, some other asshole would take there place. Since they are cardboard cut outs if in the position that would need destroying to be corrected.

Basically Bin Laden, decided that to help the world he had to scare those he felt was wrong into doing right, or destroy them.

That is the leveling paradox. For instance, if they are destroyed, how can they send the beer and travel money they should send.

But if they don't think they will be destroyed, they wont do anything, since they only care about themselves, not about justice nor compassion.

For instance, what are the methods I could use to get someone to send the beer and travel money that is due. Side note, I am not doing anything to achieve that becuase it is a due, and know that justice and compassion will correct that. But if I was to do it myself, I would have to destroy, steal, or do one of those jobs that do those things, like being a stock broker, CEO, or a mercenary, or something like that.

See the paradox, and that is how the Bin Laden philosophy works, he tried to correct an imbalance, by becoming like those that created the imbalance.

And that is why they think of peace activist and progressives as terrorist. And why the American people are thought of as the enemy by the corporate state and the rich

Side note, my comment on Bin Laden are based on the perception of what he was responsible for or did as thought by most people.

If you think that makes me 'like Bin Laden' you miss the whole point. I am saying there are groups that think I am like Bin Laden, for knowing an original point he had correct when younger, the same idea in the Bible about helping the poor. However those that do not want to solve the consolidations, think that anyone that does, is the same as those that go bad and pick bad ways to do that.

See how that works, they are not looking at the method, only trying to protect the consolidations, even from legal challenge. So anyone making a legal argument, they think of as Bin Laden like, since they don't see difference from violence or not, only that someone is against the consolidations of corporations and billionaires, or methods for profit for a few that hurt many people.

Note that my method if I was to 'be like them' would not even be any more violent then them, but would be in one of there jobs, ceo, stockbroker, mercenary. Yet they still can differentiate.

See how that works, That is why the American people are put under the Patriot act.

(someone) really don't give a shit -

(your) not going to pull a bin Laden.

That is what I was responding to. It is typical taunt used against peaceful people to get them to go dark side.

So commented on it, function not data.

I made a recent comment on fury, so you were following that up, trying to work on the possibility of anger. You don't have to know that you were doing that. Note anger can get someone off balance.

I tried to again explain what is going on in my post.

15. I dyed my hair blue/black one time. It turned out much bluer than I had planned
so I called the 1-800-Clarolx number on the back of the box and the person told me what the antidote colour dye was. It worked great.

18. The combination of words "antidote colour dye" is rather disturbing.
I mean, just that they would HAVE such a term handy.

9. Auburn
I get SO many compliments on my chosen color (Clairol Natural Instincts "Cinnaberry" semi-permanent). It's not as flat as permanent color--my gray comes up as red highlights. I was blah brown before I started going gray and didn't feel like perpetuating the blah. So I went red!

11. My hair started turning white when I was 12
It looked really cool up until my late 20s then it stopped being a color. I think it's about 80-90% white now. People say they can't tell it's ... enhanced ... and these are people I'm asking to tell me if it's beginning to look fake yet (my color can look awful dyed on some people and I don't want to be one of them!)

12. I color my hair to cover up the gray, but it's also a richer red-brown than my natural color.
Hair color also gives your a lot of body and shine...I love it! :)

and I hated my hair color when I was younger.

14. I did it for fun when I was younger; now it's to hide the gray.
I used to have just a bit of gray, now I think it's mostly gray. Men are considered distinguished when they have gray hair; women are considered old ladies. I see enough age discrimination in the job market, but if my hair was gray I'd see even more.

16. Mine is "woven"
It's kind of like doing foiled highlights but you do two or three shades at the same time, and different shades every time it's done. There's a combination of reds, golds and blondes in it. It is very pretty and the ladies really like it.

Natural color? As close to black as you can get and still be in the brown range.

17. I use henna and cassia "glosses"
Meaning that I mix them with conditioner and leave on for awhile, not really for color but also for conditioning. I used to use henna alone, but over time it turned my hair an unnatural burgundy color, which it will do, and it's permanent - binds with the keratin in the hair shaft and can't be gotten out easily if at all. I go much easier on the henna these days and heavily dilute it, so my hair will have a reddish tint, which I've always had, but also some good conditioning. I've tried the box dyes and the smell, for one thing, put me off, and they also fried my hair. The older I get, the more I try to pamper what I've got left. :)

19. Henna!
When I gave up coloring my hair blond several years ago to cut down on chemicals, I discovered that my natural color was ash brown. On the advice of a friend, I tried henna and loved it. It creates red highlights, warms up the brown, and makes my hair shinier and stronger.

A box of henna costs me about $1.75 plus tax at an Indian grocery, and it makes enough for 3 treatments - enough for a year. I add lemon juice and paprika to the powder, along with boiling water, and let it sit overnight. A third of the mixture goes on right away, and I freeze the rest in a self-sealing plastic bag.

There's a great web site about henna: http://www.hennaforhair.com/

20. Hide the white!
My hair would be pure white if I didn't color it. I started turning white in high school. I like to say, "You've heard of salt & pepper hair? Mine's salt."

23. Usually an auburny-redish color.
I am considering dying it very dark brown with perhaps a streak of blue or purple or something. For the first time in my life I am working at a job where that would be okay. Even though I may be a little too old for such a thing, well, it's really my first chance to do it!
