NOW I know why I don't like 'Five Guys' Fries...
They give you TOO DAMN MANY!!!

Serious, the first 25 fries were great. But I couldn't eat all of them, and their burgers fill you up so fast that you waddle out.

They seriously need a 'mini' option. Single Patty Burgers, and an option to have just a small cup of fries, not the Super Big Gulp sized-fries...

1. They could use larger buns for their burgers. nt

2. You're right
All that stuff piled on the bun just squeezes out, so you end up with a hamburger salad afterwards

3. They have single patty burgers.
They're on the menus as "little". The toppings stay on the little burgers better actually.

As for the fries, it wouldn't matter. Company service standard says "put all items in bag, add more french fries. (unless "no fries" on order.)" If they had a smaller fry size, it would just create more room to...add more french fries to the bag. Best course of action, go with more than one person, split a fries order. (Two burgers in the bag also reduces volume for additional "bag" fries.)

Alternately, get the regular size and give the extra fries away. I've made more homeless friends in DC off my generosity with fries, leftovers, 7-11 sandwiches and fruit than you can imagine. (I'm upfront that I'll give them food and/or assistance but not money.)

4. They actually lose business because of it......Mine!
I love their burgers, easily one of the best in town, but the fries thing is ridiculous. Sure, if my wife and I are going out together we can go there and split the fries because there are so many....but wife and I don't go there very much and I would be much more likely to go during my lunch break by myself. The one time I went...I threw away half my fries, so now that discourages me from going back. They should offer a mini size for $1 less and I would go there but I hate paying $8 to waste a handful of fries. There are at least 5 other burger places within 1/4 mile of the 5 Guys and I would definitely go there more often if they had a small fries option.

5. I had them today for the first time.
I didn't know the "regular" burgers are doubles! And there was a shitload of fries in the bag.

I was very full afterwards, but it was very tasty.
