Tapping into "THE ZONE" musically...............

You have no doubt heard from musicians about tapping into "the zone" - Right?

Well, here's one for the jazz fans here:

...but first...let me preface this by saying that you know how - when you were a kid....or shoot - even now - how you could take two small magnets and kind of "play" with that "energy" when reversing not that which made the magnets stick together...but to turn it around and feel that 'polar' energy from the two magnets seemingly in opposites? You know...that kind of feeling/energy???

So - OK - having said that - let me turn you on to this:

OK - track #4 is where it is at: Days In Our Lives/Mr. Magic. Listen to it. Starts out good - you know - little chilled, laid-back vibe going on etc...etc...

It builds...and builds....oh boy - does it ever build.... slight grooving ups and downs....then wait for it...wait for it...

Oh yeah - it STARTS at 7:45. The magic begins.....(pre-cursor to rap/hip-hop - I would venture to say...BACK THEN....in 1977!) OK - so like - groove to that - - -

THEN...Come right around - the tease - at around 11:23...keeps building ya'll....surrender to it....oh yeah - - - building, building, building....then - oh my - Richard Lee on guitar....then - well - it starts to get downright 'sassy' - know what I mean?

Ok....so it keep going....building....jazz "playful back-talking", if you will - wait for it - wait for it....

Come around 15:35 - might I suggest at this time...that you hold your two hands in front of you...about a foot apart and start to like - vibrate them to the music...hang with it and at 16:00 - to 16:09.....NINE SECONDS OF PURE, UNADULTERATED MUSICAL ECSTASY!!!! YEP. YOU ARE THERE....IN THE PROVERBIAL "ZONE"!!!! You can actually FEEL IT!!!! Between your two hands...the energy - the zone - right there - Yep. Not many recordings that I am aware of which can: "take you there" - this one IS the exception!!!
