2. Yes, I have a number of pictures on my computer of ships and boats
All associated in some way with ancestors or relatives. Some are:

A picture of a barque of the type a great-great-great-uncle took to Australia in 1853 when he ran away from home to make his fortune in the gold rush. We have letters he wrote home from the barque, some of which were sent back via other ships they met going the other way. We also have some letters written from Australia and New Zealand during the thirty plus years he spent in those two countries, trying to make enough money to return home in style.

Pictures of some of the ships ancestors traveled on to or from England while immigrating or on visits back to the "Old Country".

Pictures of ships that hubby's great-grandfather traveled on when he went to France to study as an artist.

Picture of a ship at the sawmill my great-great-grandfather owned on Vancouver Island in the 1890s.

Pictures of the submarines my father served on in WWII - the USS Spot and the USS Menhadin.

Pictures of my great-aunt, my grandmother, my father, other relatives, and friends of theirs at various times in various places in small sailboats and canoes.

Pictures of hubby in our canoe in the pond on our farm, demonstrating that it was unsinkable.

Wow! That is a lot more than I would have expected!

6. The ill-fated Angel Gabriel
My puritan ancestors the Cogswells arrived in New England on this English galleon in 1635. It sank off the coast of Maine the next day, taking many of their belongings with it. No one knows if any passengers died.
