Dallas vs. Miami thread. DUers heads explode.
Two red state teams, the hated areas, play game 6 tonight. The Mavs (from Dallas, GOD, GEORGE W. BUSH LIVES IN DALLAS) look to win the title outright. Miami (OMG, JEB BUSH, OHNOOOO) looks to extend the series. Just this alone is sweet to see with all the bashers of Texas and Florida here on this board.

So, enjoy the game, haters! The trophy could be in Dallas tomorrow. DALLAS!!! OMG!!!!!!

34. I loved it when they won the WS.
One of the best baseball memories I have. I would love to see them regain that former glory again.

4. MA resident rooting for the Mavs
I don't care about (or for) the red state generalization - I'm rooting for Dirk and the Mavs, I just like the underdog. For the record, I'd love to be lucky enough to visit Texas some day! :hi:

Other than our brutal summers, you will find a wonderful place. Hope you can come down someday

9. There's tons of fantastic people in every state
And unfortunately a lot of screwballs, heck if you listened to radio in MA you'd assume it was a far-right state...I just think hateful people tend to be louder. Missed out on a training in Ft. Worth last year, but really hoping I get a chance to visit soon and hike some of the state parks. There's an amazing amount of history there too!

16. The Lakers will get it together as soon as the playoffs start
Don't worry, it's all part of Zen Master Phil's brilliant strategy to get the three-peat!

As to the Miami/Dallas series, let's face it: Both teams can't lose, but the winners still have to live in Texas or Florida.

25. A little riff on the Laker fans on a certain other message board
No matter how disorganized the Lakers looked this year, there were fans saying it would all be okay once the playoffs started, and the Lakers were sure to win the championship again.

Hey, Dallas won. Time to cut away to the final round of the Kemper Open, isn't it?

18. I'm a Lakers fan. I'm cheering for Dallas.
I really despise Lebron and the Heat management for that whole "Decision" special. And I hate that Heat management was bragging about the idea of a dynasty before having a single practice. That's just egomaniacal douchebaggery at it's finest. Fuck the Heat.

Now we can say good-bye to these players and hope we see a strike of monumental proportions that lasts years. No more LeBron, no more Wade, Dirk, Kobe, or anyone else who wears shorts for a living.
