What perfect gothic camp! And, I can't wait for the movie next year with Johnny Depp as Barnabas.

1. IIRC it was on
at three or four PM CST when I was in collage at TX Tech
People would gather around the TV in the dorm or SUB lounges to laugh their loafers off
Depp as Barnabas, who will play Angelique?

2. We used to try to schedule our classes around
that show.

The TV lounge was packed with the fans.

I have ordered some of the DVDs from Netflix, and I have more on the way.

7. Looks like Eva Green will play Angelique.
Of course, Tim Burton is directing. It should be fun viewing, for sure!

My niece is attending Texas Tech now, she loves it. :)

3. I loved that show! Rushed home from school everyday to see it...
Several years ago, I borrowed the tapes of the show from a friend and stayed up all night watching just one more... It was surprisingly lacking in production values from what I remembered, but the story was still appealing, though I could follow the century-hopping and the same actors playing multiple roles much better when I was a kid. I'll probably see the movie, but it just won't be the same... :hi:

5. When I was a kid, that show HORRIFIED me
Would hide under my blankets at night because I imagined Barnabas Collins was standing over in the corner with his cane waiting for me to go to sleep.

Now I find the show campy and hilarious...though the eerie theme music still creeps me out.
