(mid -50's blackball era). I thought his name was Pete Singer, because his name was Pete and he was a singer.

32. Maybe because of the awful tragedy of that tour. I almost didn't mention Buddy Holly either
Edited on Mon Aug-22-11 02:06 PM by abq e streeter
It would have been amazing to have seen that lineup-,him (with a young kid named Waylon Jennings on bass), Dion and The Belmonts , The Bopper, Ritchie Valenzuela, but would also have to be a terribly bittersweet memory. Did you know that Bob Dylan was at the show in Duluth, Minnesota just 2 nights before Buddy's last show at the Surf Ballroom?

10. Gentle Giant on every tour from 1970 to 1980.
Cardiacs, once for each tour they did.
Yes, on their Yes Album, Close to the Edge, Relayer, Tormato, Drama and Talk tours.
Genesis, for Foxtrot, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, Trick of the Tail, Duke, and Genesis.

And I'm sure I could list a hundred more.

And I will admit, Stires was amazing, but nothing like they would become when they recorded "Billy Breathes"

Otherwise, I would have given my left testicle to be at Woodstock, rain, mud and all.

26. From that list?
Probably Miles Davis.

From my personal life, I saw the Police in 1982. A year before that, I was given the chance to see both The Stones and Bruce Springsteen. I turned down both opportunities. While I dig The Stones, I don't regret the decision. But the Springsteen show, that's the one I wish I could go back in time and see.

As for the Beatles in 66, I've read too many accounts about how the crowds at their shows were so loud you couldn't hear the band, so I would totally pass on that. Just the same, if I were given the chance to have seen them when they were coming up - that would be something I would absolutely want.
