I used to drive up to the cottage with the Gatineau Hills of Quebec in full fall bloom. Then we'd sit around the roaring fire and read. I miss that.

4. Summertime in SoCal.
Great when I was little.

Fanfuckingtastic when I was a teenager.

Now that I'm older, the heat is kinda rough, but the sights are still more than worth it.

I'm goddam spoiled is what I am.

5. Oh I absolutely love fall.
The crispness and chill of the air, the color change of the leaves, the calmness of the days, the smell of decaying leaves, the pumpkins...

I can't wait.

8. Early April....
When little green shoots are coming out of the ground and my crocuses are almost in bloom. The temps are in the 50's and 60's. No heat. I hate the heat.

7. Winter. I love cold weather.
But of course, I live in North Georgia where the winters are not as brutal as in northern states.

13. I love the "dead" of winter.... Jan. after the holidays.
Sit by the fire, read a good book, make a pot of soup, feed the birds.... I love that time of year.
