7. That's known as "Meat Soup".
Which is fine, cause that's pretty tasty, too. But, it ain't chili.

5. I prefer chili verde
I have all the fixin's except for the chilli peppers. For some reason, Anaheims are are impossible to come by lately.

Your chili sounds really good. Anything with Italian sausages in it has got to be good.

.
.
.
Cook it up in small chunks and grind those fine in a blender (no food processor).
.
.
.
I also brown lean beef of some sort and dice it into small chunks (3/4") and
then simmer them 'til very tender.
.
.
.
I cheat with a coupla low-sodium chili mixes doctored up (add'l chili powder,
cumin, garlic powder). Canned diced tomatoes, minced jalapeno peppers, tomato sauce,
lots of small-diced green bell peppers and onions.
.
.
.
And beans. Kidney beans. Lots n lots o' glorious kidney beans.
.
.
.
Top it with sour cream.
.
.
.
Soup spoon in my left hand. Big ol' hunka Colby cheese in my right.
.
.
.
Life is good.
.
.
.
(edit to add) And I usually serve it over cooked rice.
.

13. Never had it over rice. A Brit I know likes it that way. I usually scoop it over fresh baked corn
bread. :toast:
