How many rock n rollers died at age 27?
Just heard it on CNN

Brian Jones drowned at age 27
Jimi Hendrix OD'd at age 27
So did Janis Joplin -- at age 27
Jim Morrison had a heart attack -- at age 27
and Kurt Cobain shot himself -- at age 27.

This is creepy...

2. Lunar nodal return
Edited on Mon Apr-05-04 08:08 PM by stellanoir
that's exactly how long it takes to have the lunar nodes proceed to their point of origin. The Lunar nodes represent a point in space where the orbit of the moon intersects the earth's orbit. It's rather obtuse. Often effects earth changes and is also indicative of earth changes as well.

total karma all the time,

If Bush doesn't lose this year I'll eat my ephemeris.

not sure about Belushi, but yahcheu ben joseph (aka Christ) was 36 according to some accounts, but who knows. . . ?

5. the Saturn return
27 is the age at which the first Saturn return occurs also. It's when karma can kick you in the teeth -- i.e., it lets you know it's time to become an adult and makes you aware of the areas in which you aren't. It can be a difficult time as all Saturn returns are and is reflective of the house in which it returns. It can also be rewarding if one has learned from their past lessons.

7. saturn return
Due to retrogradation. . .

Saturn's return can happen anywhere from 27-29 years.
The nodal return is far more exact.

6. In rock 'n' roll's infancy, they died even younger than that!
To wit:

Johnny Ace, 25
Buddy Holly, 22
Larry Palumbo (The Earls, "Remember Then"), 18
Ritchie Valens, 17

9. If you want to go way back...
...I think (though I'm not 100% certain) that blues pioneer Robert Johnson also died at 27.
