I had to get up around 4 AM and turn off the swamp cooler -- it just ran
on auto and had dropped the inside temp down to about 65.

.
.
Had to snuggle in under my blanket... but I'm LOVIN' this.

2. We've been in the upper 40's.
I'm suprised about 52 in the desert. I would've expected cooler than that.

4. I thought it did that year round. Hot in the day, cold once the sun goes down.
Huge swings from day to night temperatures.
