Also, I always got the impression in Babylon 5 that the Centauris had nothing to do with "Alpha Centauri". It was simply the name of their race. Maybe it was the Vorlons that gave them the idea to call themselves Centauri from the mythology they implanted/manipulated here. They had their light-being tentacles in everything! :D
