Will Chaz make it back next week for DWTS?
I think he will. He was better last night than his previous performances, and he's trying so hard, and the audience and the judges seem to be with him. It's hard NOT to root for him!

I think Nancy Grace gets the boot tonight. "You ARE the Weakest Link!"

1. I want him to win because it would really piss off the naysayers!

2. I want him to do well for as long as he can.
He's far from the best dancer on the show, however. That's gotta be either Ricki Lake or JR Martinez, and they're both trying and working very hard -- that shouldn't be dismissed.

But I admire Chaz for the effort!

3. I want Chaz Bono to do well because of his skills and not because we did a left-wing version of
Palinizing the polls.

I already have an issue with these reality TV shows but I like that ABC was willing to put Chaz Bono in the contest in the first place. It shows that they aren't just promoting right-wing celebs but they support others too. I saw a few clips of Bristol Palin dancing on that show and she looked miserable. She was one of the few people do do that show and not lose weight in the process - heck Kirstie Alley and Kelly Osborne both started the show on the heavy side and now both have lost alot of weight thanks to DWTS.

I don't want Chaz to win because he's a transgender male, I want him to win because he happened to be the best on the show. I've seen clips of his dancing and it looks like he's having the time of his life. After watching the documentary "Becoming Chaz Bono" - I am glad he has found happiness in life. He deserves it!

4. It was pre-empted here in Detroit for a Lions game.
I'm not really "into" it, but I was happy to see that Chaz Bono was on it, in spite of the faux fundie outrage. I particularly enjoyed the comment of some spokeswoman for some Koch front group who was on 'Good Morning America' complaining that the inclusion of a transgender individual would just ruin her "good wholesome family entertainment" -- don't know what kind of family she grew up in, but shaking and shimmying silicone enhanced cleavage in extremely skimpy outfits wasn't on the menu in my house as a child.

Good for him. If "our side" had to endure Bristol Palin, who had little dancing talent, "they" should have to watch Chaz a while longer. Honestly, he's not very good, due to his weight and knee issues, but he tries. I don't see him going too much longer, but it's still a victory for the GLBT community, and hey, for humans in general.

9. This is the first season I've watched it.
And I have to admit, it's got me hooked. And Chaz, well, not the best dancer but he really tries hard and I find myself rooting for him.
