Finally! Pics of the "kiddos"!
Got an awesome Gravity smart phone - love it! Makes it easy to upload pics, so here are 3 of the 5 beasties:

This is Ceile after her bath. She's mad and won't look at me:

Apple aka The Beast (she's 2 1/2 and I swear she's still growing).

Ambrose the house bully.

Priddy the porch kitty. Half feral, but loves to be petted. Can't get her to come inside though.

I'll see if I can get the others to pose.

1. The "others"?
How many do you have?

5. 2 more cats.
One more inside and another half feral. The two ferals, Priddy (above) and Schitzy, we flea treat and make sure they're healthy. Make them beds in the winter, etc. Can't get them to come inside though and that's fine for now.

8. I admire your compassion.
We have three inside and 1 feral who is well-fed and has a "cathouse" in the winter. It has a heating pad in it. This year, we're adding another cathouse and another heating pad. They're inside our carport. My husband wants to get a dog, but with three cats I foresee WWIII.

Thank you for all that you do for furry little people.

4. I love your critters.
We have a feral cat outside (the last girl of a harem, spayed and released,) who is content to let me pet her when I feed her, and shelters in a heated cat house. Nicole Kitman is the mother of all the rescued cats who live in the house, and stares at them and plays pattypaws with them through the storm door on our deck. She has decided to live there, I think because the deck is elevated and she feels safer...and, who knows, maybe she'll come into the house, finally, this winter.
Don't worry about your puppy not looking you in the eye. We'd had Pyrenees for many years and they often refuse to acknowledge us, except when they're doing rug impersonations or decide they're due for an ear skritch. But they're terribly sweet and good and accept the worshipful atttentions of our houseful of cats....so, things are fine...

6. I feed a lot of ferals at night.
The two that are tame plus another 5-6. They've all been fixed by a couple across the street, but they've have little dogs (yippy dogs) so they prefer to eat at my house. Who am I to argue?

It's funny to watch. They get all excited to go outside and then you say "bath" and they immediately frown and avoid eye contact. I should record it some time.

You've got a beautiful bunch!

10. Oh, they're all so beautiful!
:loveya: Priddy has a very striking, unusual coat!

Apple probably really IS still growing - she looks like she has a lot of Maine Coon in her, if not a full-blood, and they sometimes don't fully stop growing until they're about 4 years old! They can get really huge.

11. Thank you!
You should see Priddy's brother. He's a "red" tabby with an enormous head. Never seen a cat with his coloring. I'll try and snap a pic of him tonight.
I always thought Apple might have some Maine Coon in her. Her paws are just too big! Her litter mates were white. My mother in law rescued 4 of them from being killed by some little bastard in her neighborhood. He threw rocks at the mother to chase her away and then proceeded to try and decapitate Apple with a rock. They were about 4 weeks old at the time. Apple's original name was Scar- nasty mark on her neck. Poor baby.

12. OMG, that's horrible about poor Apple.
Give your MIL a hug for me. Bast will bless her for rescuing those babies and finding them good homes.

WTF is wrong with some people? Where does that even come from, the desire to harm something helpless that never did a thing to you? I'll never understand it. I don't want to understand it. I just want all of them locked up far, far away from other sentient beings.

13. They are all so beautiful!
Ceile looks as if she could be a sister to my dog Smokey - he's been gone a long time (since 1987).

14. Wow!
They certainly could be sisters! The vet's best guess is that Ceile is a border collie/German shepherd mix. Your girl looks very shepherd like. Stunning!

15. We never knew for sure what Smokey was. His mother was
a stray and she definitely looked like a German Shepherd. Smokey was the smartest dog we ever had, so the Border Collie fits. I don't think I even knew what a Border Collie was when we had Smokey back in 1979-1987. A neighbor took the stray in after she had the litter in a huge, hollow log in the back of our property!

I will always miss him . Ceile is the first dog I've seen in all these years that looks like Smokey. I'm sure she is a ton of fun, too.
