2. oh no!
Thanks, Chan
I'm thinking that it looks so good that I could peel the ham off of the cheese?
But I have this thing... my food can't even touch meat...

I wonder if they make it without the pig meat.
That's what it is...
Ham...a nicer name for pig meat.

3. Without the pig meat...it's a log of fresh mozzarella.

Yes, they absolutely sell that in the supermarket, usually packed in water or shrink-wrapped. ~$5/lb. Sold pre-sliced even.

It's amazing with basil and fresh tomato. Google caprese salad. I like mine with a little fresh olive oil, salt, pepper, and balsamic. It's amazing how wonderful the basil, mozzarella and tomato are together.

7. Oh, it's quite tasty on a Triscuit or Ritz
But, that pink stuff is pig flesh, so you'll just have to give it to somebody like me then.

Related story... one time I was doing some post-work food shopping at about midnight at Wal-Mart (yeah yeah, evil soulless corporation... I lived in small-town Minnesota) and found mozzarella, capicola, and basil rolls very similar to that in the refrigerated case for $1 each.

I bought 8 of them. I KNEW that was a mistake!

A couple of nights later I was there again, and the price was now $4.99 each.

Somebody fucked up the price and I got a bargain at Wal-Mart's expense!

And... I just added "capicola" to Firefox's dictionary. A tragic oversight on their part.
