I'd use my crossbow, though. Gunshots just draw them.

18. I was thinking last night
They were just in one of the nation's largest cities, and it was abandoned. They couldn't have found a big sporting goods store and stock up on crossbows and such?

Maybe they were all cleaned out when the whole thing started.

(and how did that church have a working sound system with no electricity?)

17. In the graphic novels
they find a gated community after they left Atlanta - and, the gated community was covered with snow, which I assume is pretty rare in Georgia, or even just beyond Georgia.

19. A&E is becoming the home of the Must See
First Breaking Bad, now The Walking Dead. They run promos for other shows that might be good. I'll have to check them out.

While the major networks are wallowing in reality TV, A&E is producing stuff worth seeing.

But I agree with you; a great show and the antithesis of reality TV.

If they're going to make great shows they need to cement their name recognition better :)

23. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the recap at the beginning.
They ran the "previously on..." clips from last season, and I'm pretty sure they didn't show a single zombie. Did I miss them, or did a zombie show actually forget to mention that there were zombies last season?

25. I thought I remember seeing at least Bicycle girl
but you may be right. Of course they did have episodes where you didn't actually see a zombie until the last couple minutes.

24. powerful, gripping episode
The herd of zombies scene was intense. It just seemed to stretch forever, ratcheting up the tension. I reallly though T-Dog was going to get knocked off. Darryl was badass this episode. He may be the breakout character this season.

Add me to the list of people who thought SOMETHING was going to happen to Carl, but was totally caught off guard when he was shot.

The Walking Dead is easily one of the best shows on TV right now.

26. I was expecting
the deer to be a zombie deer (i.e., it's spreading to animals now)

or, else zombies to shuffle up and attack.

Didn't expect what happened.

27. ^ that post was a spoiler (So is mine. Be warned)
IMDB inadvertently posts spoilers when they list how many episodes each character appears in. Both children's lives hung in the balance when the show ended last night, but Carl appears in 19 episodes (last night was episode 7), and Sophia appears in 17. She wasn't in the first two episodes.

31. I think the people Rick is taking his son to for help have the little girl.
That is what I think.

The little girl would be looking for help, or to get out of the woods.

She should have stayed and not wondered off.

I know it was fake, but it was still incredibly disgusting. Ack. x(

Intense and gripping episode, like all of the others. I'm glad the show is back on the air and I already can't wait until next week!

30. Did anyone else see a commercial for a "Run For Your Lives" 5K obstacle course?
While watching at home last night, a number of the commercial spots featured local businesses and events. I saw one for a 5K run/obstacle course that is overrun with zombies, and the goal is to make it to the finish line "alive." One of the events will be held here in Atlanta next year. This looks like a heck of a lot of fun!

Did anyone else see this commercial? :hi:
