High heels for men are on the rise
By DAISY DUMAS
Last updated at 1:53 PM on 18th October 2011

It's the last bastion of women's outerwear that hasn't been appropriated by the more fashionable men out there - until now.
High heels are, apparently, de rigueur for men.
To the possible chagrin of some more traditional males, those with a fashionable eye and an eccentric sensibility are taking the women's power dressing weapon of choice and making it their own.

3. I find it odd that they opted for stilleto...
rather than the clunky solid heel that is both a bit more masculine in form and better suited to support the weight and build of a man. Men, even skinny ones, are not petite.

7. S & M shoes
I was surprised by the stilettos, the most uncomfortable, teetering shoes available. I guess a clunky shoe just doesn't garner the same attention.

4. I love how they try to make fads out of thin air.
Was it in the 80s that they said men would be wearing make up? With the exception of goths and certain pop stars, it never took off.

20. Where is that protest?
I don't believe in crime, but if I do need to do a smash & grab, I wanna pick a town where I can outrun the cops.

8. I don't know how women even walk on those.
Uh, yeah, no thanks.

Back when I worked at the garden center, we did used to have a regular customer for a while, a big, tall, strapping guy about 6'3", probably 220 lbs, who came in usually wearing about size 13-14 lavender high heeled shoes and color-coordinated lipstick, and carrying a purse. So, I have seen this.

23. I remember seeing these
Are they prosthetic enhancers, enabling the wearer to jump higher, run faster and with less work/energy?
