I love Facebook!

Its so much fun and informative, AND its really easy to control who you interact with. Frankly I'm surprised more DU'ers aren't there....:)

It really is a great deal of fun! I think we get the opportunity to see people in more depth; with all their connections, family and interests. And the interactions rival "the good old days" in my memory. Which is hard to do, 'cuz I'm sure I'm glossing over some stuff when I wax nostalgic. :hi:

I am so tempted sometimes and think DH is being paranoid, but I joined Twitter, to follow Anonymous and had some strange friend requests and after that had computer problems and someone was using my credit card. I worked it all out and cleared out of Twitter, but the concerns have stuck with me.

I was very careful on Twitter, but maybe because I was following anonymous, I think I attracted a certain type of member. I do consider FB often, because I miss you guys, but as yet, have resisted. It is nice to see you, Dr Strange, leftymom and flvegan pop over here occasionally. I am sure there are some I am forgetting too.

I think it's funny that Klout insists that you're an expert on the Phillies when you tweet 20+ a day about the Nats and DC sports.

I'm not an expert on anything, I guess I'm just too random.

I did get in an argument yesterday with PZ Myers and the Humanist Chaplain at Harvard about the need or non-need for hierarchy in humanism, two days ago with David Sirota (and I was wrong. Bloomy didn't win in a landslide like I thought he had.) about how responsive NYC govt was to public opinion re: #OWS. (Not terribly. The word "tone-deaf" comes to mind.) I'm now blocked from messaging or replying to John Boehner.

so...I pick fights with famous people. That should be an expertise.

Many adopt the name of a character from a book, movie, etc... that has some personal meaning or appeal to them. And who's to say that a couple by the name if 'Kent' didn't name their baby boy 'Clark?'

I have a couple of people on my list from DU, but not that many.

Great for staying in touch with family and old friends. Even when you are like me and don't comment a lot, you can still keep up with what everybody is doing.
