Tea Party Halloween costume suggestions needed
Its a busy day at work on 10/31 plus the auditors are due to arrive that day. I combed the local thrift shops for an easy to don/doff costume. Makeup and wigs just won't work for us that day. I found a brown vinyl tri-corner hat which I bought. I'll hang tea bags from it and go as a tea party patriot. I also have some old cap pistols in the garage from the former owner's grandkids and a couple of holsters. I picked up a couple of other black felt kid's pirate costume hats that I can modify to be tri-cornered . Any suggestions as to clothing for male and female costumes ? We can wear jeans/tee-shirts that day. I have some small American flags we can wave and a couple of large ones we could wrap ourselves in. Any other suggestions ? Maybe some mis-spelled signs. I'm off to an Occupy Shoreline rally now. Will check back later. Thanks !

1. Too warm for indoor wear
but if you google images of "astroturf ponchos" you'll see a photo of a tea party couple wearing them to a rally. If you work in a place where the public comes in, I hope they don't mistake you for TP supporters!

6. Camoflage is a good idea. I don't own any but
some others who are participating may have some. I work at a rehab hospital. We're only going to dress up for the Halloween parade at noon, and parade thru the units.

11. Hank Williams Jr.-Cowboy hat , whiskey bottle and dark shades.
Glenn Beck-Hang a little chalkboard around your neck and cry a lot. Sheriff Joe Arpaio-Fat suit, a little tin Star and pink underwear. Sean Hannity-this one might be a little painful. You have to get someone to put a straw into your head and suck your brains out. Rush Limbaugh-think Jabba the Hut with Michelle Bachamnn as Princess Leia.

In addition to the hat with tea bags and flags... Plan to make a bunch of little signs to pin to my clothes: "the guvment needs to stay out of my medicare" For my ass a bumper sticker "limbaw/beck 2012" An a printed Fox logo pinned somewhere... Could use a few more suggestions.

I'm thinking abut a two sided sign. "Repeel Obamacare" "No Sosialist Medisine" on one side and "Hands off my Medicare" on the other. I may do the faux TV with Faux News on it. I don't have a color printer, though, so printing Sarah Palin et al's photos may not work well.

18. The weather is getting cooler here, so I think a sweatsuit
will be appropriate - with a a pillow stuffed in it for the beer gut. If I can't find a pitcher for the KoolAid, I can cut one out of cardboard.
