Did You Enjoy The Movie "Monty Python's Life of Brian"? Yes? Thank George Harrison.
He mortgaged his house to get the film completed when the studio backed out. George formed HandMade films and produced notable hits such as:

The Long Good Friday
Time Bandits
Mona Lisa

1. I do and
thank you, George!

I think Led Zep had a monetary interest in the Holy Grail too. So I thank them too.

Time Bandits was a great movie. I need to go find it again. Haven't seen it since it was in theaters.

2. I saw Time Bandits on Netflix a few months ago.
It was pretty good. Very fanciful, but not side-splitting hilarious like the full-fledged Python movies.

9. That, in a nutshell is why Gilliam struck off on his own.
He co-directed Holy Grail, but it was a frustrating experience for both him and the rest of the cast, because he was a lot more interested in set design, and getting scenes to work the way he envisioned them, and everyone else was much more focused on the humor, and thought that Gilliam's perfectionism about the stagecraft stuff got in the way of the jokes.
So he turned to his mainstream (if odd) directing career, and Terry Jones directed Life of Brian by himself.

3. The 'Zep and Pink Floyd were two of "Holy Grail's" biggest financial backers.

4. I think George was also involved in the production
of The Rutles' film, "All You Need Is Cash" at least IIRC.
