Watch live performance - Alone Again, Or (Real format)

http://212.67.197.191/snapper/videos/love.ram

"The remarkable story of the comeback of Arthur Lee and his legendary Love grows one chapter longer with the release of the new DVD, The Forever Changes Concert (Snapper), which documents a triumphant performance by Lee and his new backing band at London's Royal Festival Hall last January -- only a few months after the singer's release from prison after 5 1/2 years. The DVD offers a track-by-track live performance of Love's 1967 classic album Forever Changes. There's something inevitably disorienting about seeing this rock and roll warrior in middle-age, the hard miles on his face only partially obscured by wrap-around shades, American flag do-rag and cowboy hat, performing the material that made him famous at 22, surrounded by a younger (though by no means young) hired band, not to mention a full string and horn ensemble whose members had likely never heard of Love until a few weeks previous. But the new band is sublimely tight, and there's no denying Lee's energy and sheer delight to be back onstage performing his music again."

1. Hot damn yeah!
Can't wait to see this. 'Forever Changes' is one of the most important rock albums ever made. Maybe he was inspired by Brian Wilson performing "Pet Sounds" live on tour a couple years back.
Saw Arthur just before he was sent to the slammer about ten years ago, and it looks like he's still kicking ass today.

2. I wasn't here when this was posted last night...
So I'm kickin' it for the AM!

:kick:

"Forever Changes" is one of the best records ever, and the number of people who are unfamiliar with it is depressing.

4. "Alone Again" is a favorite track of mine
I bought the CD just because of that. The download is really nice, thanks.
I passed him on the stairs once at my university in the UK when they were playing at the students' union - must have been in 1969 or around then.
