DU Urgent Help - with GOTV in Australia during on-line / media night

In Australia, there are 60,000 to 100,000 Americans living overseas. With September 15th as the absentee voter registration deadline for many states we have our work cut out for us to GOTV. We are planning a media event at a cyber café where Democrats will join be able to join us on line to chat, and or stream audio / video from an address given by Ambassador Peterson (First post war Ambassador to Vietnam, POW in Vietnam for over 6 years, Congressman from Florida for three terms, and friend of Senator Kerry for over 10 years)more: http://www.aokerry.com/aok/2004/08/ambassador_pete.html . This will be an excellent opportunity to listen or chat with the Ambassador, and to ask questions. MOST IMPORTATNTLY THIS WILL GO A LONG WAY TOWARD HELPING MAKE SURE WE GET PRESS COVERAGE. SOME MEMBERS OF THE AUSTRALIAN PRESS HAVE SAID THEY WILL BE THERE, WE JUST NEED AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO PARTICIPATE TO ENSURE THAT THEY RUN WITH THE STORY. PRESS COVERAGE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR GOTV EFFORTS BECAUSE IT IS FREE.

The Ambassador will be online from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Tuesday August 29th. That is 2:00am to 4:00 am pacific time or 5:00am to 7:00am on August 29th in the USA.

Alternatively, we are trying to work out the ability for people to watch, or just listen to the Ambassador speak using Yahoo messenger. As many of you know Howard (Aussie prime minister) called the election in Australia yesterday for October 9th. That makes it even more important that we get a lot of people to participate, because we’ll be competing with pretty big political news here.

Finally, any ideas on how to GOTV here in Australia when we are up against a September 15th deadline, and a dispersed group of Americans would be greatly appreciated.
