Help Find a Cure for AIDS - AIDS Walk 2004

Fellow DUers,

I am pulling out my sneakers this year for the Lifelong AIDS Alliance to help raise money for the 18th Annual AIDS Walk 2004 on September 26th. I am asking that you consider a monetary donation to help fight AIDS, honor people living with HIV, raise community awareness, and to remember those we have lost.

Because of last years successful Walk the Lifelong AIDS Alliance was able to:

* Provide a total of 11,137 hours of case management to their clients living with HIV/AIDS
* Give 8,451 rides to clients for medical and social service appointments
* Make 116,631 home cooked meals for their clients
* Pack 31,164 bags of groceries
* Provide 3,233 hours of home chores for clients
* Reach over 55,000 people per year in our Education and Prevention Programs.
* Raise community awareness for HIV/AIDS
-Lifelong AIDS Alliance is the leading voice in community organizing, lobbying and policy development for all of Washington.

I'm volunteering at the walk, as I have for several years. My husband worked for Lifelong for a long time, until he passed away in June.
