New Ad Supporting ACT's Effort to Mobilize 50 Million Women
I was inspired by ACT's (http://actforvictory.org/act.php/home/features/success_50_million_women_count_election_action_day/) drive to mobilize women voters to design an ad supporting their efforts. The ad is titled "When Justice Is Done" and is centered around this quote from the Talmud:

"“The world rests on three things: justice, truth and peace. The three are really one, for when justice is done, truth prevails and peace is established.”

The body copy reads:

"In the 2000 election, 50 million American women didn’t vote.
On November 2, 2004–more than ever–we need your vote to return to a just, balanced society. We need leaders with courage, compassion and credibility.
None of us can afford four more years of war, job losses, record deficits, skyrocketing health care costs, failed education programs and attacks on our constitutional rights.
We’re proud to support ACT’s (Americans Coming Together)* efforts to mobilize women to register and vote."

The ad(s) above, as well as others, is/are available as free, full-size, high-resolution JPEG or PDF downloads at http://www.bigpath.net. Please forward, print, post, handout or carrier-pigeon them to as many people as you can. If you'd like to be on my email list (alerts when there's new content or changes to the site): email to signup@bigpath.net.

1. Do you work for ACT or some other related organization?
There is a local ACT office and I am wondering if I should print this out for them.

2. I don't, but I did send them the ad late last night.
The problem I've had, with ACT, MoveOn and others is I've been sending them emails with my work much of which supports them either directly or indirectly, but, if I get any reply at all, it's always just an automated reply.

I was thinking of picking up the phone and calling them.

I don't expect them to use or even endorse the stuff, but I thought they might at least be interested that someone out here is doing something to drive people to their sites.

It's possible that all they care about at this stage in the game is money and don't have time to deal with anything else. That's completely understandable.

Perhaps you could print a couple, take them to your local HQ and see if they have contacts at the main organization they could forward them to.
