3. Donkey Cookies
Edited on Tue Sep-28-04 12:46 PM by Out the Parasites
Last week I made cookies for a Kerry party. I bought a donkey shaped cookie cutter and made sugar cookies. My husband printed out some pro-Kerry messages that we cut out and we made little donkey collar slogans. They were a big hit.

I need more main and side dish ideas...

17. OK forget the Lobster
Clams, and Mussels and a firm fish like halibit or Monk fish could work. Throw in alot of Kilbasa or Linquica (sp).

18. No political theme, here...but
I throw a lot of parties. Single most consistent "hit" for finger food/appetizers is this salmon spread:

chop up a package of smoked salmon (lox, whatever)
mince (that is, cut up VERY tiny!) a small amount of onion
mix with a package of cream cheese
give it a good squeeze of lemon and a healthy sprinkle of black pepper.
Mix. Form into ball. Chill.

i serve it with rye melba toasts. Triscuits would work too.

-Peace!

Is it Lipton's soup mix? or something else?

Maybe I can make up a clever name for this...

24. NC BBQ...eww
Sorry, I don't mean to offend. The BBQ in NC to me is oogie. I can't understand how people can eat it. I had it at a dress rehearsal dinner there a two different weddings, both times there were surprise mystery pieces of something. ie; tendons, gristle, pieces of chopped up bone and who knows what else. No Thanks. :-)

32. Do one of those layered dips
You know, with the refried beans, salsa, avocado, sour creme, black olives etc. and serve with tortilla chips....call it Bushit Dippy dip for the evening (it actually is very tasty, I can make a meal off it).

(actually, chicken skewers from Costco)..Put a little placard next to the chafing dish warning that they were low in carbs, but loaded with bullshit. They were a big hit! Maybe try Dubya-turned-Iraq-a-sovereign-nation-upside-down cake.
