PDX May Day photos, the youth, the aged & Kucinich.

These photos from yesterday’s May Day rally recall to me something I heard from an activist during an earlier rally,

“As I.F.Stone said, ‘If you’re looking for the change in your lifetime, you’re not ambitious enough.”

Another day I met a young anarchist who has a 250 year plan to change the world, but, of course, no time to vote Bush out of office this year. On the other hand, my ambition which can be summed up in three words -- fire the liar -- has, no doubt, become far too narrow.



So, I'm making what is admittedly a very small step towards broadening my ambition by voting for Kucinich's ideals in the Oregon Presidential primary -- now that Kerry's electability has the Democratic nomination wrapped up. I hope that all the idealists here on Democratic Underground and I will be working together again in November to -- FIRE the LIAR.
