Bush will be giving the commencement address next Friday afternoon 5/14 at Concordia University in Mequon (just 4 miles north of the Milwaukee County line at I-43). Several groups are planning protest activities including the Milwaukee Labor Council, Wisconsin Citizen Action, Peace Action, and the Democratic Party of Ozaukee County. Shuttles from the Brown Deer Park and Ride (on the West side of I-43) will start at 11:30 and go to 12:30, to bring people into the rally area. There will be two buses running and whatever vans are available from volunteers. WCA is going to have a sound stage with microphones and speakers at the intersection of Highland and North Port Washington Road for the main rally, scheduled for 12:00 to 1:00. If you can arrive sooner and stay later we would encourage you to do so. We anticipate that we will only be allowed a maximum of 200-250 people at that location. Buses and vans will be allowed to drop people off at that location and turn around and go back to the shuttle parking area. The Mequon Road and North Port Washington Road is going to be the SECONDARY protest area for any overflow protests in excess of the 200-250 people. If you can't get into the protest area on foot, we encourage you to drive around with vehicles with anti-Bush signs on them in the surrounding area.
