Gallo of Sonoma workers need your help now!
For eight months, vineyard workers have been without a United
Farm Workers contract at Gallo of Sonoma in California's rich
Wine Country.
Matt and Gina Gallo and Gallo of Sonoma refuse to provide health
and other basic benefits to 75% of their work force supplied by
farm labor contractors. Matt Gallo even told his workers it was
the UFW's fault they don't have health benefits--an outright
lie. Last December, a California judge ruled Gallo of Sonoma
illegally tried to get rid of the UFW.
It is critical to show Gallo of Sonoma that thousands of people
care about this mistreatment and will boycott all Gallo wines if
Gallo of Sonoma workers do not get a just contract.
That's why we need 25,000 people to sign the "Gallo Unfair"
petition by the next negotiation meeting set for June 22. So far
more than 8,000 people have signed the "Gallo Unfair" petition.
Please join these people and add your voice to help the Gallo of
Sonoma workers.
