I passed it out to a few other places, and it seems appropriate here at DU also (for those in the Seattle area).

Subject: organized right wing supporters of the war
threaten Vigil

I am writing to encourage you to participate in a mass
mobilization at the Greenlake Vigil this coming Sunday
at 2pm. The vigil is held at 63rd and Greenlake Way at
2pm.
The occasion is the sudden appearance of an outfit
called Protest Warriors at the same site and the same
time as the Greenlake Vigil, which has occurred every
Sunday since well before the war in Iraq started. This
last Sunday these Protest Warrior forces outnumbered
antiwar vigilers four to one, according to one of the
long time vigilers.
These are very organized right wing supporters of the
war. I encourage you to visit their website,
www.protestwarrior.com to judge their politics for
yourselves. All the language on the site is military.
Their activities are called "operations." They promise
to "take on" the left. They pride themselves on
"crashing" protests. It is not apparent that there is
any actual violence thus far.
What WE need to do is to demonstrate that antiwar
sentiment is the unshakeable majority opinion of the
people of Seattle.
This is not going to be a confrontation. As always,
the vigil will be peaceful and respectful of
everybody, regardless of their views. Have no fear of
bringing your families.
This is a growing right-wing mobilization. Seattle is
no by means the only target city. Their website claims
thousands of members across the country. Let's set the
record straight about who has the heart of the people
of Seattle.
Please tell all your friends about this special
mobilization. The hope to have a quarter-page leaflet
ready soon for those who would like to pass them
out or put them on phone poles, etc. Call the SNOW
office, 789-2684 for I have a good supply of Bring
Them Home signs to use at this vigil as well as to
post in your front yard.
In solidarity,
