Would the Dem nominee for prez keep any Bush cabinet members?
I think Bush kept Mineta from the Clinton Administration.

I sure hope not!

2. I think any Democratic president would have a Republican cabinet member or
two. But I hope none of these current ones stay on. (Well, the major ones, anyway. I don't know enough about some of the other appointees to make an opinion.)

He added Mineta after election, I believe.Tar and feathers is the preferred way of treating Bush's cabinet.

11. Mineta was Clinton's energy secretary

since about 1999 or so. Bush kept him on but moved him to Transportation.

EDIT: Maybe he was commerce originally... see posts below.

No Bush holdovers in a future Dem Admin - unless Holy Joe wins. Then they ALL stay.

NEVER hold over to someone else's administration. NEVER.

Cabinet members are usually very, very political appointees who may or may not be well qualified to do the job.
