CA-33 Delegate Candidate
My name is Michael Maheras. I am a liberal activist.

Futhermore, I'm a District Level Delegate Candidate (CA-33) pledging my unwavering support to Barack Obama. I recently moved into this district from Chicago, where I have supported Obama since his run for Senate.

I’ve been involved in net based and media activism since the early 90's.

Most recently, I've been active in a grassroots capacity: phone-banking, promulgating and proselytizing on behalf of the next President of the United States: Barack Obama. You might even find a couple of comments of support on this website.

I posted a trove of information; my agenda, reasons I support Barack, links to my activism on behalf of Barack and other related biographical information on my website:

http://www.obamadelegate.com

On this site you'll find a compelling widget that allows you to make fiscal comparsions to help put Iraq war spending in context. It's free and you can use it on your site at no charge at all.

By way of background, you should know I enjoyed a Production Assistant credit on a nationally broadcast PBS documentary series called "The 90's." I assisted on "Election Special", the telling of the 1992 Democratic Primary campaign in Illinois that featured video vérité packages of luminaries like Rahm Emanuel and David Wilhelm in action.

In 1993, I took it a step further and ran for Municipal Trustee in my hometown within Henry Hyde's congressional district (IL-6). I ran on a progressive platform and proffered, out of environmental concerns, a 2% tax on Beef and Beef by-products. This idea was not as well received as it was conceived.

In 1996, while working at a broadcast media outlet in Chicago, I worked collaboratively with other mainstream and indy-media professionals to create a website for the Democratic Host Committee; Chicago96.org. My efforts included producing multi-media content from within the convention hall and from the "demonstration pits." The website was heralded by the New York Times and offered live streaming video from within the media tent.

Lastly, let me direct your attention to the caucus finery I’m offering on my website. It summons the spirit of my effort and portends the nature of the deliverables I will bring as Delegate for CA-33.

As you likely know, you’re able to vote/caucus for multiple candidates, I hope to first among them. Or at least; among them.

Waggish Regards,

Michael Maheras
