Dodd: Clinton’s Supporters Getting “Nervous” About Long Race
Sunday, April 6th, 2008

Obama-backing Senator says she has the “right” to stay in but seems to nudge her on CNN’s “Late Edition,” raising specter of down-ballot races:

“So while I fully respect the right of people to stay in a race and to test and challenge- at some point here national leadership has to step up and say, enough is enough. And candidly, an awful lot of democrats, even those who are supporting Hillary Clinton in this case are beginning to get nervous about where this is taking us, putting at risk congressional races, senate races, gubernatorial races and, candidly, the presidential race itself in November."

1. Now, now. No need to be nervous. We welcome you to the Obama fold.
With open arms. And we harbor no hard feelings.

11. not true
our money and vote might be welcome , but the Obama-nable behavior will not be forgotten by Dems everywhere. I never supported Hillary until I got my fill of the vile tactics used against her and the Clinton administration by people who were at best in grade shcool in the 90's and mouthed every single Newt Gingrich talking point so often , that they became indistinguishable from the RW toads they claim to hate. In short I voted for Clinton twice, and tho not perfect, he was the best we could get at the time. Obama is just as fast with the tongue as Clinton any time , and His "new style" is deeply offensive to old Dems. And depending on who he gets for VP, I will probably vote party line, There is a distinct possinlity that I will leave the top slot blank, (He wouldn't have his picture taken with Gavin Newsome, so I'm pretty sure he would be ashamed of me too.)

18. I agree - the top line will be a hard vote if its Obama after the sexist campaign he's run that
depended on Obama playing the race card after NH to stop her momentum and to "consolidate" (move from 70/30 to 90/10) the black vote.

17. Which means that I am not in lockstep with the party.
Also, I voted for Gore and Kerry, but have no qualms about disagreeing with certain policies.

10. At a certain point, Obama should start ignoring her
Don't attack her under any citcumstandces, but after the April 27 debate, that should be it for debates.

Then Obama should campaign in all of the remaining primary states, but only talk about John McCain. I sense that that is already starting to happen.
